The town of Buckeye offers many community and recreational opportinities for its residents. Buckeye has two libraries, a museum, an auditorium that seats 550, the Hellzapoppin Rodeo grounds, a community center, and many parks offering baseball, basketball, soccer, handball, football fields, and tennis courts.
Several regional parks that surround Buckeye offer golfing, hiking, climbing, ahd other recreation. Robins Butte Wildlife Sanctuary, along with other portions of the Gila River, offer endless opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife sightings. The Hellzapoppin Rodeo, street fair, car show, and demolition derby are held annually in November. Other events include Pioneer Days, the Buckeye Bluegramm Festival, Halloween Carnival, and the Senior Pro Rodeo. |
